HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Simon Williams

A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mr Williams was originally suspended for twelve months on the grounds of misconduct whilst employed by East of England Ambulance Service.

The Panel further heard that Mr Williams’ failings included posting photographs and comments on Instagram which breached patient confidentiality including pictures of patients, containing patient’s medical information and personal details.

Panel Chair Ian Comfort commented:

“There has been an ongoing failure to address the issues which gave rise to the suspension order. There is a complete lack of evidence of any type of remediation, reflection and insight on the part of the Mr Williams. In all of these circumstances, he presents a continuing risk to the public if he is allowed to practise in the future.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Simon Williams to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Mr Williams was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
