Social worker Carol Gould (SW73045) has been struck off the HCPC Register following a third review of a suspension order originally imposed on 24 September 2015.

HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Carol Gould

A panel of the HCPTS heard that Ms Gould was originally suspended for a period of twelve months on the grounds of a lack of competence whilst registered as a social worker and employed by Benecare and Kaleidoscope.

The Panel further heard that Ms Gould’s original failing included not communicating effectively with colleagues, foster parents and / or third parties, and failing to carry out a risk assessment prior to placing a child with a foster carer.

Panel Chair Michael McCulley commented:

“The Panel concluded that Ms Gould’s repeated failure to address the serious concerns that have been identified was fundamentally incompatible with continued registration. The Panel was satisfied that removal from the Register was the only means to protect service users and the wider public interest.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Carol Gould to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Ms Gould was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
