A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mrs Whittaker was responsible for a number of failings with regard to visits to children not being completed, and the recording of the progress of her cases.

The Panel further heard that Mrs Whittaker failed to raise concerns about the mother of Child L, who was sniffing aerosols. She also informed her line manager she had seen Child A when she had not.

Panel Chair Khairun Butt commented:

“Mrs Whittaker has not provided any evidence of insight or remorse, or that she us capable of gaining insight into her misconduct. She has breached a fundamental tenet of the profession and the Panel has determined that there is a significant risk of repetition of her misconduct.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Jayne Whittaker to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Mrs Whittaker was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
