Social worker Claudette-Marie Jones (SW09210) has been struck off the HCPC Register following a substantive review of a suspension order originally imposed on 5 September 2011.
A panel of the HCPTS heard that Miss Jones was originally suspended by the General Social Care Council for twelve months on the grounds of misconduct whilst employed by SWIIS Foster Care Limited.
The Panel further heard that Miss Jones’ original failings stemmed from her role as A’s Form F assessor, during which she met A at a pub and carried out the Form F assessment and consumed alcohol.
Panel Chair Carolyn Tetlow commented:
“Miss Jones has not demonstrated full insight into her misconduct. The Panel determined that this was unlikely to change in the future. A further period of suspension would serve no useful purpose or further the public interest.”
The Panel ordered for the name of Claudette-Marie Jones to be struck off the HCPC Register.
Miss Jones was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
