Chiropodist/Podiatrist, Jennifer Rankin, Struck Off Following Substantive Review

Chiropodist/podiatrist Jennifer Rankin (CH32175) has been struck off the HCPC Register following a substantive review of a suspension order originally imposed on 21 March 2017.

HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Jennifer Rankin

A panel of the HCPTS heard that Miss Rankin was originally suspended for a period of twelve months on the grounds of misconduct whilst employed at Barefoot Chiropody and Podiatry and McDonald Footcare.

The Panel further heard that Miss Rankin failed to create files and / or record treatments for approximately 65 patients, and inappropriately stored patient records in a location other than the clinic.

Panel Chair Sarah Hamilton commented:

“The Panel was satisfied that there was no public interest in maintaining Miss Rankin’s name on the Register when it appears clear that she has no intention of returning to practice or engaging in the fitness to practice procedures.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Jennifer Rankin to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Miss Rankin was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
