Paramedic Carl W Fisher (PA01254) has been struck off the HCPC Register following a substantive review of a suspension order originally imposed on 28 February 2018.

HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Carl W Fisher

A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mr Fisher was originally suspended for a period of twelve months on the grounds of misconduct whilst employed at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

The Panel further heard that Mr Fisher’s failings stemmed from him attending an incident in which Service User A fainted with Child A in her arms, with Child A fracturing their skull. Mr Fisher was found not to have completed an adequate patient report form, and not to have arranged for the patients to be conveyed to hospital.

Panel Chair Tony Ross commented:

“In the absence of evidence as to remediation, there would be a risk of repetition of Mr Fisher’s misconduct with consequent risks to the public and professional colleagues.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Carl W Fisher to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Mr Fisher was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
