A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mr Small was originally suspended for twelve months on the grounds of misconduct whilst employed by University College London Hospitals.

The Panel further heard that Mr Small’s failings included refusing to carry out work related instructions, and behaving inappropriately by stating to Colleague B “Why won’t you go with me when you’ve slept with other members” or words to that effect.

Panel Chair Polly Clarke commented:

“There was no evidence of insight or reflection on the part of Mr Small. In light of the lack of insight and remediation this Panel concluded that public protection and the wider public interest remain current issues.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Michael A Small to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Mr Small was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
