Social worker Robinah Kamya Guweddeko (SW07664) has been struck off the HCPC Register following a substantive review of a suspension order originally imposed on 6 June 2016.
A panel of the HCPTS heard that Miss Guweddeko was originally suspended on the grounds of conviction whilst employed with Somerset County Council.
The Panel further heard that Miss Guweddeko was convicted at West Hampshire Magistrates’ Court of two counts of dishonesty, failing to notify the relevant authorities of a change in circumstances which affected her entitlement to income support benefit and council tax benefit.
Panel Chair Deborah Baldwin commented:
“The Panel decided that even though the matters that led to the convictions in this case could have been remedied by Miss Guweddeko, it would appear that her limited insight and unwillingness to resolve leave it with no choice but to strike her off the Register.”
The Panel ordered for the name of Robinah Kamya Guweddeko to be struck off the HCPC Register.
Miss Guweddeko was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
