A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mrs Pool was originally suspended for twelve months on the grounds of conviction.

The Panel further heard that Mrs Pool was convicted at Dumfries Sheriff Court of an offence of failure to provide a specimen of breath for analysis upon request.

Panel Chair Sarah Hamilton commented:

“The Panel were not persuaded by the limited information that had been provided by Mrs Pool that her fitness to practise was no longer impaired. She still does not appear to appreciate the seriousness of the situation nearly three years after her conviction.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Edna Pool to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Mrs Pool was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
