A panel of the HCPTS heard that Miss Szwajcar’s failings included not adequately completing initial assessments and not completing adequate treatment plans.

The Panel further heard that Miss Szwajcar had not included appropriate goals and interventions in the treatment plans for multiple patients, and was unable to devise appropriate treatment activities without prompting, including in relation to multiple further patients.

Panel Chair, Graham Aitken, commented:

“The Registrant has shown no interest in engaging and remediating her practice, which was found not to be at foundation level. As there remains a risk to the public, the Panel considered that a Striking Off Order was the proportionate and appropriate sanction as it both protects the public and satisfies the wider public interest in upholding proper standards and maintaining public confidence in the profession.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Wilma Swajczar to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Miss Swajczar was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
