HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Joyce Evelyn McConlough

A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mrs McConlough failed to meet with Child A in relation to an assessment, and recorded on the case management system that she had spoken with Child A to obtain her views when she had not.

Panel Chair Lesley White commented:

“Dishonesty on the part of a Registrant is particularly serious, regardless of whether it results in harm to service users. Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness are the bedrocks of any profession and the Panel determined that in these circumstances, failure to make a finding of impairment would undermine the need to uphold proper professional standards and public confidence in the profession.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Joyce Evelyn McConlough to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Joyce Evelyn McConlough was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
