Anita Henderson (SW111155) has been struck off the HCPC Register on the grounds of conviction whilst registered as a social worker.

The Panel heard that on 19 September 2017, Miss Henderson was convicted at Newcastle Crown Court of obtaining money transfer by deception, contrary to section 15A of the Theft Act 1968 and two counts of fraud, contrary to section 1 of the Fraud Act 2006.
Panel Chair Clive Powell commented:
“Whilst these matters arose from actions outside of the Registrant’s professional duties, they would seriously impact on her profession’s reputation and would have undermined the public’s confidence in the profession. The Panel also notes that any sanction should act as a deterrent to others intending to act in the same way.”
The Panel ordered for the name of Anita Henderson to be struck off the HCPC Register.
Miss Henderson was neither present nor represented at the hearing.
