Paramedic Struck Off for Sexual Assault

Paramedic Colin Hakin has been struck off the HCPC register after sexually assaulting three colleagues.

A panel of the HCPC Conduct and Competence Committee heard that Mr Hakin was employed with East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Colleagues there raised concerns about the Registrant in 2013 in relation to inappropriate language and behaviour. Due to the severity of the allegations, Mr Hakin was suspended and dismissed from the Trust.

The panel further heard that Mr Hakin was prosecuted convicted on 10 October 2014 of three counts of sexual assault. He was sentenced on 7 November 2014 to 30 months in prison and put on the sex offender
