Social Worker Struck Off for Dishonesty after Failing to Disclose Secondary Employment

Social worker Tolulase Omotoke Roche has been struck off the HCPC Register on grounds of misconduct and dishonesty after failing to disclose secondary employment, thereby breaching professional standards.

A panel of the HCPC Conduct and Competence Committee heard that Mrs Roche began working for Luton Borough Council on 10 May 2010 as a Service Manager. In 2013 her data from Luton appeared on a National Fraud Initiative report indicating that there was data from the payroll which matched with that from the London Borough of Harrow.

The Panel further heard that investigations by the relevant fraud teams established that Mrs Roche had two separate contracts of employment with Harrow, whilst also being employed at Luton. The three contracts resulted in Mrs Roche being contracted to work a total of 57 hours per week. Following a disciplinary hearing held on 5 December 2013, Mrs Roche
