Biomedical Scientist, Chinele Ukachukwu, Struck Off on Grounds of Her Conviction and Dishonesty

Chinele Ukachukwu (BS36816) has been struck off the HCPC Register on grounds of her conviction at Harrow Crown Court and dishonesty.

HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Chinele Ukachukwu

A panel of the HCPTS heard that on 23 May 2013 Miss Ukachukwu was convicted of nine times making a false statement / representation so as to obtain benefit. Between 23 May 2013 and 23 December 2016 she did not advise The HCPC of her conviction.

The Panel further heard that on or around 23 October 2013, when completing her HCPC renewal form, she advised the HCPC that there had been no change in her good character since her last registration, when this was not the case.

Panel Chair Deborah Fowler commented:

“Miss Ukachukwu accepted in her oral evidence that she was being untruthful when she signed the form.

Taking into account Miss Ukachukwu’s state of mind at the time, The Panel found that her conduct in advising the HCPC that there had been no change in her character was dishonest, applying the objective standards of ordinary decent people.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Chinele Ukachukwu to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Miss Chinele Ukachukwu was present but not represented at the hearing.
