Paul Hardy (PA06536) has been struck off the HCPC Register on grounds of misconduct whilst employed as a paramedic at a white collar boxing match on 16 April 2016.
HCPTS - Health and Care Professions Tribunal Service - Paul Hardy
A panel of the HCPTS heard that Mr Hardy instructed / requested Person A and / or Person B to remove their upper clothing and bra for him to conduct a chest examination without clinical reason to do so.

The Panel further heard that he assessed / approved Person A and / or Person B as fit to participate in a boxing match, which was outside his scope of practice as a paramedic.

Panel Chair Marian Killen commented:

“There is no evidence that Mr Hardy clearly understands the behaviour that led to the finding of misconduct. The Panel has found that he has very limited insight and does not appear to have fully recognised that what he did was wrong. The Panel determined that there is a risk of repetition.”

The Panel ordered for the name of Paul Hardy to be struck off the HCPC Register.

Mr Hardy was present and represented by Mr Ronald Davidson of Counsel (15-16, 20-23 March 2018).

Mr Hardy was not present on 14 June 2018. He was represented Mr Ronald Davidson of Counsel.
